There are times in our lives where we experience difficult situations. There are times whereby we struggle to understand our own feelings, responses and behaviour. During these times having the opportunity to explore these feelings can be very comforting and life changing.
Counselling provides a regular time and space for you to explore difficult emotions and thoughts with a trained professional who will accept you for the person you are. This time allows you the opportunity to identify and understand what you are experiencing. Having a better understanding of our own behaviour and feelings offers the opportunity to change and adapt behaviour and thoughts if you feel you want to.
As a qualified counsellor and member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow the BACP Ethical Framework. I offer a safe and confidential space allowing you the opportunity to talk about anything that you want to. During your time with me I will not offer advice, however I will support you to find your own answers and solutions that you feel would best benefit you. I work as an Integrative Counsellor drawing from a range of approaches and models of therapy to meet the needs of the individual. Working holistically offers the opportunity to make deeper connections and support balancing mind, body and spirit.
Counselling can help with a range of difficult experiences or feelings you’ve been going through such as:
- the breakdown of a relationship
- a bereavement
- low self-esteem
- feeling out of control
